On November 18, 2025, Brad Bailey Law secured across-the-board “not guilty” verdicts in Worcester County Superior Court in a child rape case where the client was facing a minimum sentence of 15 years to life in state prison.
That verdict did not happen in isolation. It closed out an extraordinary 14-month stretch in which Brad Bailey Law defended five separate Superior Court jury trials across four counties, Plymouth, Middlesex, Suffolk, and Worcester, involving some of the most serious allegations prosecuted in Massachusetts courts, including aggravated rape, rape of a child, aggravated rape of a child, and forcible rape.
The Results: Five Trials. Four Counties. Life-Altering Stakes.
During this 14-month period, Brad Bailey Law achieved results that changed lives:
- Two separate aggravated rape jury trials ended in complete acquittals.
- In a third Superior Court jury trial involving multiple felony sex offense indictments, the jury returned “not guilty” verdicts on two of the most serious charges, one count of aggravated rape of a child and one count of rape of a child, and hung on the remaining charges, resulting in mistrials on those counts.
- In a fourth, unrelated Superior Court jury trial involving ten indicted counts, including aggravated rape of a child and rape of a child counts, the jury hung across the board and the case ended in mistrials on all counts.
- In a fifth Superior Court jury trial on a forcible rape charge, the jury again hung, resulting in a mistrial.
In practical terms, these outcomes spared multiple individuals from decades in prison, including potential life sentences, and allowed them and their families to move forward.
Why This Matters
Sex crime allegations move fast, carry enormous stigma, and can permanently change a person’s life long before trial. When the stakes include mandatory minimums and life sentences, there is no substitute for relentless preparation, strategic motion practice, and courtroom-tested trial advocacy.
Brad Bailey Law is proud of these recent jury trial results and invites readers to review additional case outcomes, including acquittals, not guilty verdicts, and dismissals, on bradbaileylaw.com.
