A Harvard University student appeared briefly in federal court Wednesday, accused of making a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of four campus buildings so he could get out of a final exam.

Criminal defense attorney and former federal prosecutor Brad Bailey joined FOX 25’s Maria Stephanos, live from the Beacon Hill studios, to discuss the initial appearance in federal court of Harvard student Eldo Kim, who has admitted to police calling in a bomb threat in order to avoid taking a final exam. Speaking from his experience, including his defense of the 2005 ferry bomb threat case, Brad touches on the various charges and penalties Kim will face, his release on an unsecured bond pending trial, and the spectrum of various possible dispositions/penalties.
