Philip Chism's plea of insanity is an uphill battle

The Jury in the case of Philip Chism, accused of the murder and rape of his teacher Colleen Ritzer, began deliberations Monday. Former homicide prosecutor and insanity defense expert, Brad Bailey, told the Boston Herald that "legally, the burden is not on the defense to prove [Chism] was mentally ill when he killed Ritzer, 24, but on the state to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he wasn't."
